What is gremlin bell?

A Gremlin Bell, also known as a Guardian Bell, is a small bell that is attached to a motorcycle or other vehicle as a form of protection. Legend has it that Gremlins, mischievous and malevolent spirits, are attracted to motorcycles and can cause mechanical failures and accidents. The bell is said to ward off these Gremlins by serving as a warning to them – they'll hear the ringing and flee.

The bell is typically given to a rider as a gift from a friend or loved one, or it can be purchased by the rider themselves. It is often adorned with various symbols, such as a skull, crossbones, or a motorcycle emblem. Some riders believe that the bell should be hung as low as possible to maximize its effectiveness in warning Gremlins.

The tradition of the Gremlin Bell is thought to have originated in the United States in the 1940s. Today, many bikers continue to attach these bells to their motorcycles as a form of superstition and protection.
